Eeep! Fashion Week!

Wish I could say I was front row at Milan this week but, alas, I'm a crappy liar. :P
S'not too bad, though: it's the school holidays and I have hours at my disposal to read through pages of detailed accounts of Pucci's luxurious silk creations and of how Sacha Baron Cohen hijacked the runway (lol). My personal favourite, however, would HAVE to be Fendi's collection of edgy, futuristic garments. I can't quite find the picture (why, oh, why couldn't I have just been there with my trusty digital??) but I'm IN LOVE with the lace mini that was in their collection. The one with the cummerbund cinching the waist and a Katy Perry-skirt that flapped out? Pictures would be uber-awesome, sovereigns. ;)

So what have you all been up to? I went shopping today and the designer hub in town but, sadly, picked up little. Bookworm I am, I bought quite a few books including my favourite Louisa May Alcott titles and - don't you dare laugh - Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Hey, one has to take a break from all that AP English Lit material sometime! :D
I DID buy a cute pink-and-orange handbag from Miss M [their Guess range was disappointing even if they were underpriced :(] but that was it for my shopping expeditions today. Oh, and a pair of pink Chuck Taylor's but THAT is it. ;)

Feel free to comment. What did YOU enjoy about Fashion Week?

Au Revoir, fashionistas! à plus tard (See you later),

Em-my God!

The Emmy's just wrapped; did anyone else catch it? And I do mean catch a glimpse of the green-eyed monster when Marcia Cross stepped out in her frothy Elie Saab creation. :P

It wasn't all good, though: Eva Longoria seems to be attracting a lot of criticism for her daring flapper-girl frock. Unfortunately, on my Top 10 Designers List, Marchesa is up there in the Top Five's. And not only do I love Marchesa but I also LOVE bows [and all things pretty :) ] and Eva Longoria, so there is no way I have the guts to make this WORST dressed. All things considering, she could of done A LOT worse!

Yellow was a big trend lighting up the red carpet that night as well, with trendsetters including Mariska Hargitay, Becki Newton and Teri Hatcher in their sublime summer shades.
